Bread + Brews

There is something special about gathering over good food, especially when it gives us an opportunity to celebrate the people and small businesses within our island community.

On September 11th and 12th, we welcomed guests to the Flagship for Bread + Brews, a two-day bakery feature held during our Labor Day Sale. Each day, customers were invited to explore the showroom while enjoying complimentary baked goods from two local bakeries, including seasonal flavors making their debut for fall.

It was our way of adding a little something extra to the shopping experience while creating space to gather, discover something new, and support the talented makers here on Guam.

Two Days, Two Local Bakers

Friday featured Just Baked by Selah, with a menu created especially for the season. Guests were among the first to enjoy Peach Cobbler Focaccia Bites, Pumpkin Spice Shokupan Rolls, and Brown Butter Espresso Rolls, each bringing its own take on the flavors of fall.

On Saturday, Bread Bar by Okayama Kobo joined us with the debut of their Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissant Cubes, alongside beloved classics including Salt + Butter Rolls and Milk Creams.

Having both bakeries introduce seasonal offerings during Bread + Brews made the weekend even more meaningful. It gave our guests a chance to experience something new while giving these local businesses another space to share their craft with the community.

And judging by the empty tables at the end of both days, it's safe to say the treats were well loved.

A Showroom Made for Gathering

Throughout the weekend, the Flagship became more than a place to shop. Guests browsed the Labor Day Sale, discovered pieces for their homes, enjoyed freshly baked treats, and lingered a little longer.

Bread + Brews was created with that kind of experience in mind. We wanted to offer a simple token of appreciation to everyone who visited while also using our space to highlight businesses doing something special on our island.

It's a small expression of something we believe deeply: our spaces are at their best when they bring people together.

Celebrating Our Local Community

We are incredibly grateful to Just Baked by Selah and Bread Bar by Okayama Kobo for sharing their talents, seasonal creations, and time with us. It was a privilege to feature their work and introduce more of our community to the people and stories behind these local businesses.

And to everyone who stopped by the Flagship, sampled a treat, shopped with us, or simply spent part of their weekend here, thank you. Seeing every last treat enjoyed on both days was the sweetest way to close out Bread + Brews.

We look forward to creating more opportunities to gather, celebrate local, and make the Flagship feel like a place our community can continue to enjoy together.
