A Weekend of Celebration

This past weekend was one for the books at The Salt + Light Home. As part of our Black Friday Sale, we had the joy of hosting two special in-store events: The Homecoming Event on Black Friday and our Small Business Saturday celebration the following day. Both gatherings brought together our community, our team, and a wonderful group of small local businesses all under one roof.

The Homecoming Event

NOVEMBER 28, 2025

To make Black Friday feel a little more like home, we prepared a warm and inviting Cookies, Cocoa, & Cider Bar Station for all who visited. Clients were welcomed with an assortment of cookies from some of Guam’s beloved bakers—Frances Bakehouse, Patisserie PariSco, Sol Raine Pastries, Brown Butter & Co., and Kaiskookies—each adding their own sweet touch to the day.

Shoppers helped themselves to hot cocoa or spiced cider as they browsed the showroom, making the atmosphere feel festive, relaxed, and full of holiday spirit.

As a token of appreciation, everyone who stopped by received a special gift: a Christmas Photo Ornament featuring a Polaroid snapshot of them, capturing a moment in time that they could carry home and hang with warmth on their tree.

Small Business Saturday

The celebration continued the next day as we extended our Black Friday Sale and hosted a vibrant Small Business Saturday event. This annual tradition is close to our hearts—a time to honor the small businesses that shape our island with passion, craft, and heart.

Our flagship came to life with a curated group of local makers and creatives:

HP Hoffman Photography: Offering 15-minute mini sessions with five beautifully edited, high-resolution images in a private gallery perfect for holiday memories and family keepsakes.

Olfactory Creative: Filling the space with handcrafted perfume oils, soy candles, and room sprays, each scent thoughtfully blended to inspire emotion and elevate everyday living.

Brown Butter & Co.: Returning with their rich, gourmet cookies and treats that clients enjoyed throughout the day.

Bleu & Bloom: Featuring a build-your-own floral bar, giving guests the chance to handpick stems and create an arrangement that felt uniquely personal and organically beautiful.

Velani Jewelry: Showcasing intentionally curated pieces that are waterproof, hypoallergenic, and perfect for everyday island wear.

The Pillowcase: Introducing premium aluminum pouch storage accented with refined engravings and a 360° integrated bottle opener that is functional, sleek, and gift-ready.

A Weekend to Remember

From warm drinks and sweet treats to meaningful craftsmanship and beautiful moments, our Black Friday weekend was filled with connection, gratitude, and community. We’re incredibly thankful for every client who walked through our doors, for every small business who shared their creations with us, and for the joy these gatherings brought into our new flagship space.
