Serving with Gratitude

Our 4th Annual Friendsgiving Event

Coming Together to Serve Our Community

On November 26th, the day before Thanksgiving, we had the honor of participating once again in an outreach that has become deeply meaningful to our team. While this community effort is faithfully organized by Pastor Mike Milner of Guam Vineyard Church and the Friends in Need Ministry, this marked The Salt + Light Co.’s fourth year joining in by providing meals, toiletry kits, and a team ready to serve with open hearts.

For us, Friendsgiving is a reminder of the purpose behind our name—bringing warmth, light, and care to those who need it most. Each member of our Salt + Light team helped distribute free lunch plates and toiletry kits to individuals experiencing homelessness, offering not just essentials, but a moment of connection and kindness.

Moments of Reflection and Hope

After the distribution, Pastor Mike led a Bible study for anyone who wished to gather and listen. His message offered comfort, hope, encouragement, and a peaceful moment of reflection for those who joined. Witnessing the impact of these gatherings is a humbling reminder of the steady, faithful work happening through Friends in Need all year long.

A Time to Appreciate Our Team

When the outreach concluded, our Salt + Light team came together for a Thanksgiving lunch of our own—a small tradition to celebrate the heart of our team. It was a moment to reflect on the blessing of serving together and to express our gratitude for each person who dedicates their time and effort to making a difference, both within our company and in our community.

As we step into the holiday season, we remain grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside leaders like Pastor Mike and organizations like Friends in Need. It is an honor to contribute to a mission that uplifts and cares for our island community.

Thank you to our team, our partners, and everyone who continues to support these efforts. Together, we are shining light where it’s needed most.
