Design Feature: The Rios Home

For the Rios Home, our focus was on creating a dining space that feels relaxed, inviting, and thoughtfully composed. The goal was to design an area that naturally brings people together—whether for everyday meals, morning coffee, or lingering conversations around the table. With warm wood tones and a soft, neutral palette, the room feels balanced and welcoming without feeling overdesigned.

A Sculptural Focal Point

At the center of the space sits a round wood dining table with a fluted pedestal base, giving the room a subtle architectural element while keeping the overall look simple and refined. Its circular shape encourages gathering and creates a natural flow within the space.

Surrounding the table, curved dining chairs add both comfort and visual softness. Their sculptural frames and upholstered seats complement the warmth of the wood while keeping the design feeling light and approachable.

Layers of Texture and Light

To add dimension, we introduced natural textures throughout the space. A woven pendant above the table brings an organic quality and warm glow, helping define the dining area while enhancing the relaxed atmosphere.

Neutral artwork and minimal tabletop styling allow the materials and shapes within the room to stand out, while greenery adds a touch of life and movement.
