Design Feature: Harvest House Resource Center

At The Salt + Light Home, we believe that thoughtfully designed spaces have the power to make people feel seen, cared for, and at ease. When Harvest House invited us to partner in renewing their Resource Center, we were honored to contribute to a mission that provides hope, support, and stability to foster children and families throughout Guam.

Creating a Warm and Welcoming Environment

The vision for this project was simple: create a space that feels comfortable, inviting, and restorative for everyone who walks through the doors.

To support that goal, we furnished the Resource Center with warm wood tones, soft textures, and comfortable seating that encourage connection and conversation. A welcoming living area provides a place for families to gather, while the dining space offers room for meetings, training sessions, and shared moments around the table.

Throughout the space, layered textiles, natural materials, and thoughtful styling help create an atmosphere that feels calm, approachable, and lived-in, more like a home than an office.

Designed with Purpose

Every element was selected with functionality and longevity in mind, while still creating an environment that feels nurturing and uplifting. The furnishings bring warmth and cohesion to the space, helping support the important work that happens there each day.

More than a design project, this was an opportunity to help create a place where foster children and families can feel welcomed, encouraged, and supported during some of life's most challenging transitions.

A Meaningful Partnership

We are grateful to partner with organizations like Harvest House that are making a lasting impact in our community. Their dedication to serving foster children and families is inspiring, and it was a privilege to play a small role in helping refresh a space that serves such an important purpose.

We hope this renewed Resource Center continues to be a place of comfort, connection, and hope for all who enter.
